Annual Events hosted by Rossington Parish Council
Rossington Parish Council hosts many events throughout the year, all aimed at different groups of residents and all very well received by everyone who attends.
Easter Eggstravaganza - Sunday 17th April 2022
Held at Brodsworth Way Pavilion and Fields this event is always on Easter Sunday.
Fairground rides, face painting, inflatables (weather permitting) and a FREE Easter Egg for all Rossington children who attend.
Hot/cold drinks are available to purchase and there is usually a BBQ for hotdogs and burgers.
Scarecrow Competition, Judging Day Friday 3rd June
As part of the Queen's Jubilee Celebrations we are hosting a 'Royal' Themed Scarecrow Competition - prizes for the best Scarecrow.

Queen's Jubilee Celebrations - Sunday 5th June, 12noon to 4pm
Hosted at the Pheasant Bank School Field, West End Lane
Fantastic Fun Day for all the family, lots of entertainment from 'The Fun Experts', classic carnival games, circus skills, soft play and giant outside games.
We have alloctated 100 tables and 600 chairs - so first come first served
There will be a BBQ hosted by The Lions or Bring Your Own Picnic.
Rossington Summer Festival - Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th July 2022
A must for all the family, usually held in July, but in 2021 we held in September due to Covid restrictions - 2022 will be back to July. Held at Rossington Miners Welfare Ground.
This Festival has grown in size over the last few years and in 2021 we saw unprecedented amounts of people flowing through the gates. Its organisation takes months and as soon as one Festival is finished we are starting preparation for the next...
- Fairground - the majority of rides are FREE - Waltzers, Cliffhanger, Mini Miami, Inflatables, Sizzler, G-Force, Space Roller and lots of kids roundabouts (Fee paying rides are usually Helter Skelter, Trampolies, Bumper Cars)
- Marquee with bar
- Stage for Live Bands - plus Saturday afternoon open mike for local talent
- Market stalls - majority are local Rossington residents
- Food vans - burgers, pizzas, paninis, jacket potatoes
- Exotic Animals - always a favourite with the kids (and adults)
Pride of Rossington
Usually held at the Memorial Hall, but in 2021 held at the Miners Welfare.
This event is a celebration of achievements of ordinary people who live and volunteer in your community.
We generally have awards for Juniors, Community, Environment and Outstanding Achievement.
Firework Spectacular - Saturday 5th November 2022
Always at the Miners Welfare on 5th November.
This is a free event, but Parish Councillors are around rattling donation buckets if anyone wishes to contribute.
This display always has people gasping and wooing - its amazing
Fairground rides usually from around 4pm, fireworks start around 7.30pm
Christmas Panto - Tuesday 27th December 2022
This event will be hosted at the Miners Welfare.
Two showings 2pm and 6pm. Kids provided with a drink and a goodie bag upon entry
Talegate Theatre Company provide the entertainment and the kids (and adults) love it.
Santa may make an appearance - if he's not busy - FREE selection box for the kids
