Serving the people of Rossington

Cllr Ken Guest

Cllr Ken Guest

Rossington Parish Council

I was born and raised in Rossington and have lived here all my life. I am passionate about the community and work hard within the Parish Council and as a volunteer on several charity groups in the village. I worked at Rossington Colliery from June 1976 to September 2003 when I was made redundant. I worked for Doncaster council as a part time youth worker from 1986 to 2023 . After leaving British Coal I worked for 17 years as a full time Youth And Community Development worker with Doncaster council holding various posts . Including managing a Youth Crime prevention Programme for 10 years, 3 years as a senior family support worker and 4 years managing Childrens centres. I gained my Degree in Youth and Community development at Bradford University during the first few years with the council.

Working with the Parish Council is very rewarding although sometimes quite demanding but the benefits to the community make it so much worthwhile. I am proud and honoured to represent the residents and the Community of Rossington.
